Cowlairs Carriage Sidings

Not long before the withdrawl of locomotive hauled trains from Glasgow Queen Street a class 20 propels carriages through the washer at the now long gone Cowlairs Carriage Sidings. The lines in the foreground are the CGU (nearer) and Sighthill Branch (now lifted). By this date most of the carriage sidings were recently lifted. The Cowlairs Chord had not yet been opened.
