New Galloway

Eastbound on The Port Road through New Galloway towards Dumfries in the early 1960s. In common with a number of other stations on the Dumfries - Stranraer line the link between the station name and the actual location was often tenuous to say the least. In this case the location is the village of Mossdale, a considerable distance from the New Galloway shown on the station nameboard. Closure came in 1965.
