Guide Bridge

Hadfield 1500v DC EMU with trailer 59605 leading arrives in Guide Bridge from Glossop on a Manchester Piccadilly service on 26 August 1982. The train is passing the signal box controlling the junction with the Stalybridge line and access to the locomotive holding sidings. These platforms at Guide Bridge are now closed and the tracks lifted. Only two of the four original platforms survive although the signal box was still operational in 2012, albeit now some distance from the tracks.
