Farington Junction
The scene looking south from Farington Junction towards Leyland at around 9 pm on 21 December 2011 with a serious fire in the business park to the west of the railway. The WCML was completely closed all evening due to the risk posed from a nearby gas main and a large number of exploding beer barrels
