Grosmont Shed

GER Class Y14 (LNER Class J15) 65462 gets a push back from the coaling plant at Grosmont shed on 3 April. These locomotives, introduced in 1883, were amongst the most versatile and successful of their day with a total of 289 built. In December of 1891, at the GERs Stratford works, a member of the class was fully assembled and in steam in 9 hours 47 minutes, a world record.
