Lancaster [1st]

Only used for passengers from 1840 to 1849, although goods trains continued to a yard just behind this building until the 1960s. Lancaster Greaves, better known locally as Penny Street station, was replaced by Lancaster Castle station when the Carlisle extension opened. It has been an NHS building for many years and is part of the Lancaster Royal Infirmary complex.
