Kingmoor Junction

A Carlisle - Glasgow Central service at the south end of Kingmoor yard on 3 November 2007. It has just passed the overgrown 1963 Kingmoor box standing alongside the bridge that carried the Waverley route over the WCML. The bridge is currently used by the remaining stub of the Waverley, now serving a warehouse on Kingstown industrial estate at Brunthill, just to the east. This short branch is accessed from the southwest corner of the yard via a siding beyond the trees on the right leading to a reversing neck at Stainton.
