St Peters

After dropping off two passengers at St Peters, a Tyne and Wear Metro service heads south onto the bridge over the River Wear. The bridge was built in 1879 to bring the lines from the original terminus at Monkwearmouth into Sunderland. Wearmouth road bridge stands on the left of the picture.
