Edinburgh Waverley
The late, lamented (by me at any rate) and colourful Solari departure board at Waverley west end in July 1997. Taking their name from the Italian manufacturer Solari di Udine and known in some quarters as the onomatopoeic flapper - boards these have now sadly been forced to give way to the more reliable and flexible (and silent) LED boards and/or LCD displays.
