Inverurie
The early 1980s was an interesting period on the Aberdeen - Inverness line. The Swindon DMUs had been replaced with refurbished Mark 1 stock, usually hauled by the likes of 27006 (or 27008?) as in this view. Behind the trees can be seen the remains of Inverurie Loco Works (now a Tesco). Some other works buildings do still remain, namely the workshops in the distance above the coaches, albeit in a poor state.
