Guard Bridge Viaduct
Guard Bridge paper mill. Two rail connections from the St Andrews line crossed the main road, it was a main railfreight user until <I>Demon Beeching</I>. [Beeching recommended closure to stopping passenger trains, not full closure. -Ed] The stumps were supportive of a metal viaduct over the River Eden which carried the line between St.Andrews and Leuchars Junction which closed in 1969.
