View west showing the bridge over the 'sub' at the eastern entrance to Slateford Yard which once carried the Caley main line south from Princes Street. The trackbed on the left has been surfaced from an entry point at Harrison Place near the former Merchiston station to provide vehicle access to the yard from the east. Straight ahead lay the original Slateford Junction where the route met the line from what is now Haymarket East Junction coming in via a parallel bridge on the right see image 11417. Photographed in October 2006.
