![Peckett 0-4-ST no 1152 stands alongside Swansea East Dock shed on 28 June 1959. The locomotive had been built in 1907 (originally number 12) for the Swansea firm of Powlesland and Mason who supplied locomotives and crews for use in Swansea Docks until eventually being merged with the GWR in 1924. No 1152 was the last of the former P&M locomotives in service with BR, being eventually withdrawn in 1963.<br>

![Kitson CR-3 0-4-0ST no 1338, built in 1898 for the Cardiff Railway. Eventually withdrawn from Swansea East Dock (87D) in September 1963, the locomotive is now preserved by the Great Western Society at Didcot. Photographed on 7 August 1960.<br>

![66106, with a Margam to Onllwyn Washery train of empties, approaches Neath N&B Junction as a Cardiff to Swansea train passes over on the Great Western Main Line. The freight is slowing to collect the token for the single line to the washery, from the signalman who can be seen hanging out of the box window. The platform of Neath Riverside station is still clearly visible 55 years after closure. 16th November 2017.<br>
