![The press got hold of the announcements '...via Yoker not calling at <br>
Yoker' some years ago and made the name briefly famous. Why Yoker was chosen to signify this route is a bit of a mystery as it's the least used station of the five - Jordanhill, Scotstounhill, Garscadden, Yoker and Clydebank - and surely the least recognizable location (forgive me, Yoker). However it is now established. On the cold grey morning of 20 January 318 250 brings in a Dalmuir service with a Lanarkshire origin. <br>

This station achieved a little fame in the internet world when, on 1 March 2006, Jordanhill Railway Station became the one millionth entry on Wikipedia. This not mentioned on Wikipedia itself (though perhaps there's no reason why it should). <br>
