Place
Woodacre LC (1840-1974)
Opened on the Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway.
The former site of a level crossing where a footbridge crosses the railway alongside Woodacre Hall (to the west) and the M6 (to the east).
This was the site of a level crossing until the electrification of this part of the West Coast Main Line. Woodacre Hall bridge, just to the north and formerly just a farmer's access bridge, now carries the diverted road. There were railway cottages on the east side of the line just south of the level crosing.
The line crosses the Grizedale Brook just north of the footbridge and the former crossing with the road bridge just beyond that.
