Long Rock Depot: As at Inverness, a shunter is retained at Penzance to, among other things, shunt the sleeper stock. 08645 is the incumbent in 2024 and has been named 'St Piran' after the patron saint of Cornwall, and painted with the Cornish flag of a white cross on a black background. Partickhill: The bridge between the old Partickhill station and the site of what is now Partick, on the electrified Glasgow North Side suburban line, was replaced early in the 1970s. Here a section of the old girders is being 'unloaded' on to Dumbarton Road.
