Maynooth
Maynooth. GNR(I) 4-4-0 No.131 waits at the head of her train, the morning RPSI Midlander excursion, to return tender first to Dublin Connolly. It was great to see how popular the excursion was. A further excursion was run in the afternoon, also a sell-out. Unable to get a seat on either train we took the preceding service train out to Maynooth and the preceding service train - about to arrive - back to Dublin Connolly. Really great to see this elegant Neilson Reid 1901 Glasgow built loco in action. She looked very sprightly for her 123 years! 24 March 2024.
