Bridgeton Central to Gallowgate Central Junction (Including Ladywell Tunnel)

Although Bridgeton Central closed to passengers in November 1979 the area was still used as an Electric Multiple Unit Depot until June 1987. The track and signalling was subsequently removed. Over the years the land and tunnels lay desolate with tons of rubble and debris being tossed over walls, bridges etc. Until recently this has been the norm. Now the trackbed has been cleared to reveal some of its past. I hope these pictures are a testament to time! PS at present I have no idea why the area is being cleared. 29/03/07
