This is the main station in Edinburgh and acts as both a terminus and through station. The larger part of the station is covered by a large glazed roof and is an island platform with bays at either end. There is a smaller island platform outwith the main roof on the south side.

This is a modern and minimal two station platform. There is a station car park to the south. This station is entirely new and is not a re-opening. Previously the nearest station was at Saughton, now closed, a mile to the east.

This is a two platform station. The main station building on the up (southbound) platform remains standing, complete with platform canopy. A small stone waiting shelter also remains on the down platform. The signal box, just north of the building, remains standing. Closed in 1979 it was renovated in 2017 and is currently in use as a pottery.
