Tragic train victim Sean [Evening News]

A YOUNG man "with everything to live for" has been killed after being struck by a train in the Lothians. Sean Boyle, 20, from East Whitburn, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics after being hit on the Edinburgh to Glasgow line near Breich Railway Station on Monday.

Contractors put the finishing touches to the replacement A706 overbridge at Breich Station. The bridge was due to open later that day and is one of 17 to be replaced prior to electrification.
