Progress at the east side of the Queen Street site in mid February 2019 shows the framework recently erected next to the the Millennium Hotel. This is now obscuring the old North British lettering on west wall of the hotel which was revealed by the demolition of the frightful 1970s hotel extension [See image 66339] for a view from November 2018.

Daylight view of the steelwork now installed at the south and west of Queen Street station, taken on 28th January 2019, the day after the main (south) truss was lifted into place. The shape of the new concourse is emerging in front of the train shed (centre right).

The main truss of the new extension to Glasgow Queen Street being lifted into place at 12:45 am on 27th January 2019. The operation was very slick and completed in a remarkably short time. [see image 67335] for technical details.
