Townholm Engine Works (1879-1920)

This was the works of Grant Ritchie & Co Ltd. It was established after a bad fire at the Caledonia Works.

The works built the winding engine for the Lady Victoria Colliery.

Also built the winding engine for the Highhouse Colliery (~1896) for William Baird & Co Ltd.
