Description

Keith Shed opened with the extension of the Great North of Scotland Railway to Keith.

The main GNSR shed was located to the south side of the line east of the station. This probably opened with the Dufftown line replacing the smaller shed north of the line.

It was rebuilt. The shed survived the end of steam.

The shed was assigned the code 61C by British Railways. It had sub sheds at Elgin Shed and Banff Shed.

After closure, the shed became a rail served depot for Chivas which has since fallen out of use.
