Burnton WasherServed by the Dalmellington Iron Company (Phase 3).
Description
This washery was immediately east of the Burnton Loop. It handled coal from Chalmerston No 4,5 Collieries, just to the north.
It was replaced by a new washery, Dunaskin Central Washer, which handled coal from the Houldsworth Mine as well as Minnivey Nos 4,5 and Pennyvenie Colliery Nos 2, 3, 7.
