Bothwell Park Colliery Signal Box (-1905)

Opened on the Clydesdale Junction Railway.

Description

This signal box controlled access to Bothwell Park Colliery Pits No 1 and 2, also served by the North British Railway from the former Glasgow, Bothwell, Hamilton and Coatrbridge Railway.

The colliery was on the north side of the Caledonian line, approached from the east.

The box closed in 1905.

The site of the colliery has been landscaped. The main line remains open.
