Description

This was an end-on junction between the Caledonian Railway and the North British Railway on the secondary route to Grangemouth between Swing Bridge Junction (west) and Fouldubs Junctions (east).

The line to the west was the Bainsford Branch (North British Railway) and to the east the Bainsford Branch (Caledonian Railway). The two lines together were a sort of joint line.

The box opened with the lines in 1908. It closed in the same year but was reopened in 1911. It closed permanently in 1931.

This was later the location of the branch north west to the Falkirk Aluminium Works. The line west of this works closed in 1968. The line remained open until around 1991.

Orchardhall Swing Bridge was a little to the east.
