Aviemore: 40074 has the 0950 Edinburgh to Inverness service, awaiting departure from Aviemore, in February 1980.
Springfield: Springfield station in the nineteen sixties, with a southbound express approaching behind a Class 47.
Dover Priory: Dover Priory station, looking south, during a brief signal only stop by the Railway Touring Company's 'The Armistice Kentish Belle' railtour, behind LMS Jubilee no. 45596 'Bahamas', at 14.58 on Saturday, 11th November 2023. This station was originally opened by the LCDR as Dover Town on 22nd July 1861 and renamed Dover Priory two years later. It was rebuilt by the Southern Railway and unveiled on 8th May 1932.
Worplesdon: Worplesdon, a country station as seen in October 1972.
Kinross Junction [2nd]: View east over the M90 to Kinross in the 1990s. The supermarket in the centre of the view is alongside the site of the junction while the first and last stations were on the park to the left. To the right of the supermarket a dirt track follows the course of the Devon Valley Railway and the embankment of the main line can be seen slightly above it, interrupted by a row of houses with red roofs. Diggle Junction: TPE loco hauled services to cease 10th December. 68021 'Tireless' has just passed Diggle Junction on the Standedge route with 1U52 12:48 Scarborough - Manchester Piccadilly on Saturday 25th November 2023. There will not be any DMU replacements for these trains.
Haddington: The remains of Haddington station in December 1969. Passenger services over the branch were withdrawn on 5th December 1949 but goods traffic continued until 30th March 1968.
Wolfclyde Viaduct: Looking north along the River Clyde at Coulter, South Lanarkshire, in October 2007 showing some of the remains of Wolfclyde Viaduct. The viaduct carried the S&B route across the river, with Coulter station located just off picture to the right. The viaduct was closed in 1966 following the withdrawal of freight services between Synington and Broughton.
Bridge of Dun: D3059 'Brechin City' at Bridge of Dun in 1993. This 1954 built loco was withdrawn in 1980 as 08046.
Aberdeen: 70816, with cement tanks for Workington Dock, is held at a signal to allow two departures from Aberdeen to go ahead of it. The first was a HST for Glasgow Queen Street, followed by 800101 on the 1452hrs for Kings Cross on 25th October 2023.
