Crooklands Wharf: In 2020, over eighty years after closure, a short stretch of the Gatebeck Tramway trackbed survives alongside the A65 at Crooklands, climbing away from the wharf in the direction of Milnthorpe and curving towards the old canal bridge abutment. There is reportedly a length of rail still visible in front of the wharf entrance but I confess I couldn't find it.
Didcot Railway Centre: GWR 'Saint' 4-6-0 2999 'Lady of Legend' on a GWS passenger train in the Railway Centre station on 29th August 2020.
Bitton: RSH 0-6-0T no.7151 of 1944 sits at the buffers at the south end of Bitton station in May 1984.
Hardengreen Viaduct: A ScotRail 158 DMU forming the 1024 Edinburgh - Tweedbank service crosses Hardengreen Viaduct in light rain on the first day of October 2020, shortly after restarting from Eskbank.
Clarkston East Junction: BR Standard tank 80056 descending towards Giffnock on 25 May 1964 with the 8.15am ex-Clarkston.
Low Marishes: Looking south towards Rillington from the level crossing by the former Low Marishes crossing worker's bungalow, along the grassed trackbed running towards the now removed bridge across the River Derwent. The crossing bungalow sits on the north side of the local road running to Yedingham from the A169 Malton to Pickering road.
Crew South Junction: Detail from an information board on the CR Leith branch walkway. The photo-in-photo shows the southern end of Crew yard, and looks north towards the junction itself. The bridge from which this image was taken survives. This is surprising; it has only ever carried a path and requires stepped access to cross what is now just another path.
Burntisland Aluminium Works: The British Aluminium Company's sidings at Burntisland in 1983, after cessation of rail traffic. The track had been partly covered to allow access for lorries.
Moncrieffe Tunnel: Standard Caprotti 5MT 4-6-0 73146 heads towards the Moncrieffe Tunnel as it leaves Perth with the 12noon Dundee to Glasgow express on 17th July 1965.
Romford: 345038, with a TfL Rail service from Shenfield to Liverpool Street, arriving at Romford on 6th October 2020. This service should have been running to Reading via the Crossrail tunnels under central London since December 2018 and STILL there is no sign of just when the new line under London will open.
