West Bryans Siding

The ScotRail 1024 Edinburgh - Tweedbank photographed shortly after leaving Newbattle Viaduct as it approaches the Newtongrange stop on 17 September 2020. The fenced off area in the background was once occupied by the exchange sidings of the Newbattle Collieries Railway. These fell out of use in the early part of the 20th century following the development of new facilities by the Lothian Coal Company at the nearby Lady Victoria site.
