Thames Ditton

Thames Ditton on the Hampton Court branch, looking towards Waterloo, on 4th May 2013. The short Hampton Court branch from just west of Surbiton on the LSWR main line was opened in 1849; the terminus station is situated on the south bank of the Thames in the village of East Molesey but was named after the famous palace across the bridge on the north side. Thames Ditton station was added to the line in 1851.
