Great Portland Street

Victorian brickwork at the west end of the eastbound platform at Great Portland Street station, on 13th January 2013. This station opened as Portland Road with the world's first Underground, the Metropolitan Railway from Bishop's Road, Paddington (now simply Paddington) to Farringdon Street (now Farringdon) on 10th January 1863, this photo being three days after the line and station's 150th birthday.
