Pitlochry
The re-signalling at Pitlochry can cause some operational difficulties. The LNER HST heading for Inverness on 16th April 2019 would normally now use Platform 1 on the right but was 20 minutes late and had to use Platform 2 waiting for a train in the Blair Atholl section. The new colour lights are set well back on the platform meaning the rear power car of the HST was fouling the other line. Not a problem with the Scotrail HST set seen here waiting to head south but two long trains cannot pass here now.
