Britannia Pacific no 70017 Arrow photographed shortly after taking over a southbound train at Carlisle in the summer of 1966. The locomotive had only three months of operational life remaining at this time, being withdrawn from Kingmoor shed at the beginning of October and cut up at Cashmores (Newport) later that same month.
