Ballater

Almost burnt to the ground in May 2015, Ballater Railway Station has been rebuilt at at cost of around £3,000,000. Due to reopen soon and painted in the original colours. It was known as the Royal Station, as it was used by royalty from Queen Victoria (God bless Her!) onwards, when they stayed at Balmoral Castle. The line closed to passengers in February 1966.
