Lamington Viaduct

The First TransPennine 1116 ex-Glasgow Central crosses the Clyde at Lamington on a wet and gloomy Christmas Eve 2017, with the Southern Uplands shrouded in mist. Normally running to Manchester Airport, the train was scheduled to terminate at Lancaster on this occasion due to engineering works. Photographed from one of the prominent mounds of rock and rubble created by NR when repairing the viaduct last year see image 56733.
