Kilnknowe Junction

ScotRail 158726 is about to make its final crossing of the Gala Water on 9 November 2017 with the 0924 Edinburgh Waverley – Tweedbank. The train is just over half a mile north of Galashiels station, having passed the site of Kilnknowe Junction on the far side of the bridge. In the background stands the twin-arched road bridge carrying Kilnknowe Place across the railway, the leftmost arch of which was once used by trains on the Peebles branch see image 28518.
