Peebles Junction

This fine scuplture, cleverly made out of straightened-out horse shoes, commemorates a local lad. It is also nicely positioned in what was the vee of Peebles Junction. The single-track Galashiels line went off to the left, and the non-passenger connection with the Caledonian station went right, the course of which is followed by a relief road created in the 1970s.
