Thurston
The Grade II listed Jacobean style frontage of Thurston station on 12th July 2014. Passengers had to climb many stairs to reach the platforms until a new entrance was made through the former goods yard. The station narrowly survived closure in the Beeching era thanks to the local M.P. striking a deal with BR management. [Ref query 2 October 2017]
