Brampton Fell Level Crossing
Northern 156424 heads towards Newcastle passing Brampton Fell level crossing with a service on 4th August 2017. When the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway opened in 1836 there was a station here but it closed just two years later (almost 180 years ago!). See image 39368 showing the old style barriers previously in use at this crossing.
