Dahn Süd

A DB Class 628 DMU approaching Dahn Süd station. These sets, built between 1986 and 1996, consist of a power car and a trailer car, the unpowered trailer being designated class 928. This service was en route from Bundenthal-Rumbach, the terminus of the Wieslauterbahn, to Neustadt (Weinstrasse). After stops at Dahn and Hinterweidenthal Ort, the train will join the east-west line from Zweibrucken to Landau , then continue north to its final destination. The rock outcrop in the background, the Lämmefelsen, is characteristic of this part of Rheinlandpfalz, with the area around Dahn being known as the Dahnerfelsenland.
