Bradkirk Junction

Looking east from the footbridge at Bradkirk one of the two direct Marton Line tracks from Kirkham is still partly in situ as after closure it served a Civil Engineers spoil tip. The eastbound track split here with one line going over a flyover to Kirkham North Junction. The line of trees curving sharply right marks the old line to Wrea Green and Lytham, which finally closed in 1967 and has almost completely disappeared, as has the brickworks that occupied the field.
