Colchester Town (St Botolphs)

This photo shows the rear of a local train from Clacton and Walton as it approaches Colchester St Botolphs station (later renamed Colchester Town) on 10th November 1977. To the left is the station’s lower freight yard which remained in operation until 1982. In the right foreground is the track bed of a former stabling siding once used by Brightlingsea trains.
