Farington Junction
A Northern Class 150 DMU heads south on the Up Slow between Farington Jct and Leyland on 14 May 2016. On the left is the former Leyland Trucks site and the sidings which at the time was the subject of a planning application for a temporary servicing and refuelling point while electrification work prevented the use of the facility at Blackpool North. The application was successful and DMUs were serviced at the site for around 18 months.
