Glasgow Queen Street High Level

General view of the works at Queen Street station from Buchanan Galleries on 6th May 2016, day 48 of the closure for the tunnel and EGIP works. Platforms 1-6 have been realigned and extended northwards towards the tunnel and the track relaid, but pointwork has yet to be replaced. Platform 7 still has its old track and remains connected to the down line in the tunnel. New rails have been placed in the 'four foot' of the adjacent platform 6 road. Platform edges are nearing completion and the infill will follow. Some slabtrack for the tunnel works is stored in the station. Progress is reported to be on target for these works.
