Burghlee Ground Frame

After passing south through Loanhead the EL&R veered left, before crossing the valley of the Bilston Burn on Bilston Glen Viaduct, part of which can be seen in the left background. The last train crossed the viaduct (from Roslin Colliery) in the 1960s with the route south closed in 1966. The flat area to the right housed some of the sidings serving Bilston Glen Colliery, which ceased production in 1988.
