Britannia 70033 Charles Dickens has just backed onto the 9.25am Crewe - Aberdeen at Carlisle platform 3 on Saturday 26 June 1965. The Pacific had been reallocated to Kingmoor from Crewe South during the previous week and would spend the rest of its operational life at 12A until final withdrawal in July 1967.
