Wrabness

A shabby DMU toils out of Wrabness station in the exceptional heat of 15th August 1976, a time when air conditioning was something that happened only in the USA and the idea of buying bottled water was laughable. The jammed destination blind at the front half read 'Excursion', but the train was only going as far as Manningtree. Being a Sunday, Wrabness box (which ended up on the Colne Valley Railway post closure) is switched out.
