Ponthir

The heady days of loco-hauled trains along the Welsh Marches came to a halt in the late eighties. A southbound large logo class 37 passes the site of Ponthir station in September 1988, some 26 years after closure. The upper reaches of the town of Cwmbran can be seen in the right background.
