Sheffield Midland

The south end of Sheffield Midland station was once graced by this fine signal-box in classic MR style. While the MR usually described the different boxes at a given location by referring to the points of the compass, in this instance it has to resort to numerical differentiation also (of which method, the LNWR was the prime exponent).
