Balshaw Lane Junction
Fresh ballast being laid on 18 July before being roughly levelled by the bulldozer. The bed is finally prepared for the new track panels using the bank of remote controlled vibration packing machines bottom right. Unfortunately one of the three was not behaving and is about to be removed for corrective treatment so that packing could continue.
